Taiba is a hidden gem for water sports aficionados with pristine beaches & a freshwater lagoon and offers unique wind conditions. You can relax on the beach, go on buggy trips or hit the waves with your kites and surfboards.

Taiba is a prime kitesurfing location with at least 6 months of daily constant wind conditions and has a world famous kite lagoon. It has something to offer for kiters of any levels and is a great start or finishing point for kitesurf downwinds.

KITE SURFING

Windy season / peak season: July to December/January

Wind: side-onshore with an average of 25 knots or more

Average air temperature: 25-32°C

Average water temperature: 25-28°C

In Taiba you can find all sorts of conditions: from flat water to waves, kiting in the lagoon or in the ocean to multiple choice of downwind session depending on your level.

It is a favorite of many pro riders who keep returning every season to this prime flat-water lagoon and also a great spot for beginners. Enjoy the ocean with good wave conditions as well as great spots with flat water during low tide (i.e. Secret Spot, Paracuru).

SURFING

While the waves are at their biggest outside the windy season, in Taiba you can find surfers all year round, with good swell from January to April.

Taibinha presents a constant beach break suitable for all levels whereas Morro de Chapeu offers more challenging waves for advances surfers.

There is a local surf school for surfboard hire / rental that offers surf classes, also for kids from 6 years onwards.
